How successful is Home Instead Franchising?
Home Instead Senior Care is one of the world’s leading franchise companies, operates in 16 countries and generates revenues of almost $1billion. We have won multiple franchise awards around the world and were recognised by the British Franchise Association in Franchisor of the Year 2009 and 2011. In addition our Franchisees win many care related awards but our Wirral Office was also recognised as British Franchise Association Franchisee of the Year in 2011.
Do I need relevant experience of the sector?
No, a lot of our franchise owners have come from different sectors such as Banking, IT, Leisure and Tourism and Marketing. The owner will need to recruit an experienced care manager in the sector who is working towards an NVQ level 4 and 5 in Social Care but no previous care experience is required by the franchise owner, but rather a passion to offer top quality care.
What training do you provide your Caregivers?
All our Caregivers benefit from a comprehensive training programme. Before commencing employment they are required to complete an induction day, which introduces our company’s policies and procedures and covers topics such as infection control, providing safety measures, personal care and client confidentiality. In line with our continuous training we also provide patient moving and handling training and further training in more challenging areas such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, personal care and hospice care.
Do I need to know how to run a business?
Home Instead Senior Care recognises the need to assist new franchisees in getting started. We train new owners on our model and how to put everything in place, right the way up to pre-agreeing funding packages with lenders. We can help with recruitment and selecting an office and telephone support is available from our dedicated staff at Home Instead Head Office. IT and operational support is offered and on-site advice and guidance is available. We guide franchise owners every step of the way.
