How Are We Different?

- Local Management: Our Live-in Care services are managed locally by care experts who live and work in your area. Many live-in companies operate from a regional or national head office and so are not as connected with health care professionals or as responsive as us.
- Regular In-Person Visits: Clients and Care Professionals receive regular in-person visits from a dedicated point of contact in the office.
- Quality Assurance: All our experienced Care Professionals are directly employed by Home Instead. All have Enhanced DBS and Right to Work in the UK documents. This means that we directly manage the Care Professional on your behalf.
- Comprehensive Services: Our local office provides a breadth of services, including hourly day-time and waking/sleeping night-time care, as well as live-in care. Unlike many live-in companies that rely on third-party agencies, we provide a fully managed service and can respond as your needs change.

Mum needs her own space, would live-in care work for her?
Absolutely! Live-in care is flexible and can be tailored to suit your mum’s needs. During the times when your mum wants her own space, the Live-in carer can take care of tasks like meal preparation, ironing, and cleaning, allowing her to enjoy her safe space undisturbed. The Care Professional is as present as needed.
My home is not a palace and a little outdated. Would this be ok?
Please don’t worry! Our Care Professionals are here for you, regardless of your home’s condition. All that is required is a separate room, which could even be your backroom/office. We’re dedicated to providing care in a way that suits your needs and circumstances. We do ask for a bed and a Wi-Fi connection.
Can you take mum out?
We’d love to! Whether it’s a walk around the block, a trip to local beauty spots, or a visit to the village to pick up some shopping, we can make it happen. We can also organize doctor and hospital appointments and pick up prescriptions, so you can concentrate on being the daughter or son again.

Our client’s care journey with Home Instead is truly inspiring. After a stroke left him needing support at home and with family abroad, he found comfort in our care. Despite initial reluctance to accept care at home, our client relaxed the most in the comfort of his personal space.
Initially, our client only needed minimal support, with one-hour calls for food preparation and medication, but as his health needs grew, so did our care. Shani moved in as his Live-in Care Professional and helped him find his confidence. We aim to create a safe environment, and Shani’s dedication, along with the office team, has been remarkable.
From delicious home-cooked meals to organising outings and appointments, under our care, he has thrived. He has gained confidence, structure, and joy in his daily life. Even with dementia, the Live-in support has been transformative, bringing back a sense of enjoyment. Giving structure to the day has helped tremendously, setting up outings to the beautician and simple pleasures like enjoying a film, special nights out to the Bridgewater Hall, and walking down by the Bollin. Every moment is cherished.
