‘Arts together is a wonderful charity that enables the elderly to get out of the house, helping to prevent loneliness. The clients receive a wholesome hot meal, which I feel is very important. They also have a jolly good laugh! The volunteers are kind and they care a lot about the clients wellbeing.’

‘It is a real pleasure to support Arts Together in Pewsey. I’ve been impressed with the format offering an artist led five week project each term. Of the projects I’ve seen so far, they have been varied and engaging. They are always suitable for a range of creative and physical abilities and the Arts Together volunteers are on hand to support and encourage the members.
A relaxed friendly group setting means that the members can socialise with each other as they work, and I have seen first-hand how some quieter members really come out of themselves with a little encouragement.
Not only do they run these quality art sessions, but they also provide safe, wheelchair friendly transport to and from the venue, with coffee and biscuits on arrival and a nutritious lunch before going home!
I think it’s great that Home Instead supports such a worthwhile charity by providing a Care Professional at each class. Just being a friendly face, willing to jump in and help where needed and support any members with additional needs is a huge help to the other volunteers and reassuring for the members that there is someone on hand.
I have two elderly friends who attend the Marlborough classes and they really enjoy themselves.’
