Here in Braintree, Halstead, Sudbury and Marks Tey, we see how companionship makes such a wonderful difference to our clients’ lives every day. Our caring team spends quality time with each person – whether that’s sharing a cuppa and a chat, sharing a hobby, or heading out together to local appointments or the shops. These regular visits, always lasting at least an hour, help our clients stay independent and confident in their own homes, while giving families real peace of mind that their loved ones have friendly, reliable support.

Getting to know each client personally matters so much to us, which is why we make sure the same friendly faces visit each time. Our Care Professionals have plenty of time to take things at a comfortable pace – whether that’s enjoying lunch at Halstead’s favourite cafes, browsing local garden centres, or simply catching up over a coffee at home. We don’t wear uniforms because we believe companionship should feel natural and friendly – it’s just like having a trusted friend pop round.
We offer two types of home care: hourly care, where we visit at set times, or live-in care, where a carer resides in the home. Both are overseen by our care management team and delivered by compassionate Care Professionals. Each care package is made up of of a unique mix services to meet your needs.

The genuine friendships that develop mean the world to our clients and their families. As shared on homecare reviews, one client’s daughter told us how our Care Professionals’ relationship with her father “have helped him live with dignity as well as enriching his life… they’ve shown interest in his hobbies and regularly review a family photo album with him.” Another family member praised how we take time to understand their loved one’s interests, creating meaningful connections that bring real joy – from teaching cribbage to watching birds together during the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch.

Our approach to companionship comes from personal understanding – our Directors Mike and Grainne Sheehy know first-hand how important it is to find caring, trustworthy support for loved ones. Together with our experienced Registered Care Manager Amanda and Deputy Care Manager Lisa, they ensure every Care Professional has the training and support to build meaningful relationships with their clients. Each team member is carefully chosen for their caring nature and genuine interest in making a difference in people’s lives.
Being active in our local community helps us create even more opportunities for our clients to stay connected. You’ll often find us at community events like the Primary Care Network Dementia Drop-In at the Town Hall or hosting information sessions at other public buildings across Halstead, Sudbury and Marks Tey. We love taking our clients to enjoy local traditions like the St Andrews Christmas Tree Festival, or the Christmas Get Together at Braintree Town Hall and we work closely with local schools to bring different generations together.
