As the holidays approach, we’ve put together a list of five festive outings in the coming winter months for older adults in and around Bristol East. Whether you’re looking for a cosy film screening, a traditional carol service, or a festive day out, we hope these ideas will get you thinking about enjoying the season together.
1. Christmas Carol Service at Keynsham Parish Church

This year there will be over 35 stalls featuring handmade gifts, seasonal treats, and warming drinks like mulled wine or hot chocolate. Located in the city centre, this market is wheelchair-accessible and offers convenient parking, making it a great option for older adults who enjoy a bit of shopping and a bustling atmosphere.
4. Christmas at Dyrham Park
Dates: Throughout December 2024

Take a short drive to the National Trust’s Dyrham Park for a festive experience. Enjoy beautifully decorated historic rooms, seasonal displays, and a wintery

5. Carols by Candlelight at St George’s Bristol
