Nail care is important in later life, as the aging process can bring about changes that require extra attention to maintain healthy nails.

As we age, we may find it harder to look after our nails, due to challenges with mobility, dexterity, and vision. This makes it more difficult to keep our nails clean, which may lead to fungal or bacterial infections.

Keeping nails trim can also help prevent injuries. Long or improperly maintained nails can increase the risk of trips and falls, as well as accidental scratches and injuries, especially if an older person has thin or delicate skin.
