Here in Bury St Edmunds and across Diss, Stowmarket and surrounding villages in West Suffolk, our Care Professionals understand how important these private moments are for dignity and well-being. Our 9.9/10 rating on homecare.co.uk reflects the trust clients place in us for these most personal aspects of care. Trust grows from familiarity, which is why we carefully match each person with Care Professionals who become reliable, friendly faces. These consistent relationships help turn what might feel daunting into comfortable, everyday moments – whether that’s help with showering, getting ready for a Sunday lunch with the family, or getting ready for bed. Our minimum hour-long visits mean there’s always time to do things at a comfortable pace, following personal preferences that we’ve come to know well.
We offer two types of home care: hourly care, where we visit at set times, or live-in care, where a carer resides in the home. Under our Director Brian McFarlane’s leadership, our Care Professionals receive thorough training that builds both practical skills and emotional understanding. Beyond our City & Guilds assured dementia training, we focus on the subtle aspects of dignified personal care, from reading non-verbal cues to supporting independence in sensitive situations. Many of our team have been with us for years, bringing valuable experience and genuine understanding to their roles. This expertise, backed by regular supervision, means we can adapt smoothly as needs change.
We are active in the West Suffolk community. At the monthly Davers Court Carers’ Café, we help families by providing advice while their loved ones enjoy time at the day centre. We’ve supported The Honeypot Café in Great Barton and supported them to secure funding, and we work closely with Friends Cafés in Hopton and Norton. Our scam awareness and dementia talks at local social groups share practical tips that help keep people informed and safe.

At Home Instead, we have a robust approach to ensuring that all Care Professionals have regular observations of practice that we call Support Visits, and assessments of competency for key activities such as handling medication or providing catheter care.
