The Calderdale Palliative Care team, here to help every step of the way

If you or a family member have been diagnosed with a life-limiting disease and are in the last months or years of life, Home Instead Calderdale’s palliative or end-of-life care service can provide the emotional and physical support to live as well as possible, in familiar surroundings; treated with dignity and respect. Our support can be practical or emotional and is focused on need rather than a prescribed routine. We take extra care to recruit the right people for palliative care roles, ensuring our support is sensitive, genuine and empathetic.

Why Palliative Care may be right for you

Our Home Instead Care Professionals do not wear uniforms, which gives them an informal and approachable appearance; this can be especially important for someone receiving palliative care. Once we have selected the person (or persons) we feel will make a good match, we take time to introduce them and do not hurry the process; so that the relationship can develop in the most natural way. Care is flexible and can be increased as needs change.
