The Cannock & Burntwood Dementia Care team, here to help every step of the way

Our dementia care at home can be tailored to focus on activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing grooming, and having meals prepared. It may be necessary to have medication management, and our dementia carers can either prompt or administer medication to ensure the person receives the medications according to their prescribed schedule. Or we may focus more on memory care such as doing puzzles, listening and singing along to music (maybe even a spot of dancing) which all helps with cognitive and behavioural support.

Why Dementia Care may be right for you

Maintaining consistent daily routines can help to minimise confusion and anxiety, aiding the person to feel more confident and secure. As dementia progresses, more visits may be required to supervise the client’s safety. People living with dementia can experience loneliness and withdrawal from social situations and we are on hand to provide care and companionship which is an essential part of caregiving.

Tailored Dementia Care in Cannock & Burntwood

We are able to provide a stable routine for people living with dementia. So often, routine becomes more important as memory loss increases. We are able to take people to their appointments at Walsall Manor Hospital or Newcross. We can also make sure those sensory appointments are kept such as podiatry, eyecare at the local Boots Opticians or Specsavers. We provide many companionship calls to people who want to stay in touch with friends and family but have lost the ability to drive or use FaceTime. Facilitating that can make all the difference to someone’s day to day experience. Of course we also do home help and meal preparation to make sure the people who use our services are eating and drinking a varied diet to stay healthy.
