The Canterbury Respite Care team, here to help every step of the way

One in twenty Canterbury residents provide unpaid care each week – a role that, while rewarding, can be physically and emotionally demanding. Our respite care service supports these family carers across Canterbury, Faversham, Herne Bay, and Whitstable, providing reliable breaks when needed. As a CQC-regulated provider rated ‘Good’ and 9.6/10 on homecare.co.uk, we understand that trusting someone else with your loved one’s care is a significant step.

Our support ranges from simple companionship through to complex care needs – including medication management, mobility assistance using hoists, or support with catheters and stomas. Each visit lasts at least an hour, giving time to settle into comfortable routines. As one client shared: “We have enjoyed interacting with caregivers who, after attending to the important tasks, have been happy to chat with us, putting the world to rights.”
