Rugby Fun at Whitchurch Memory Café – dementia care in Cardiff
In November we had a wonderful seated Rugby session facilitated by Rise.
Our teams worked hard to win points in both the physical games and the quiz questions that were interspersed.
This type of movement is great for increasing overall fitness, practising eye to hand coordination and using the brain.
As it’s social and fun, it also lifts mood which is so important for both those with a dementia diagnosis and their unpaid carers.
We were lucky to have 2 x Dementia Link workers from the Memory Team join us, and they were on hand to offer advice to those who needed it.
The next Memory Café will be on the 4th December at 11.15am – if you would like to join us contact Chrissy [email protected] or call 02920 569483 to find out more.
