At Home Instead, our Care Professionals are at the heart of everything we do. They go above and beyond every single day to provide exceptional care and support to their clients.
As we prepare to announce this year’s Care Professional of the Year, we’re excited to share the stories of our three inspiring finalists.
Firstly, we’d like to introduce Yasmin from Home Instead Broadstairs, Ramsgate & Margate. Yasmin’s passion for helping others has shaped her amazing 11-year journey with Home Instead. Her journey is nothing short of incredible, and her dedication to her clients has truly changed lives.
Yasmin’s career in care began when she was just 18 years old. As a young mum, she was looking for a role that offered flexibility, but it quickly became more than a job. Yasmin found her passion in helping people stay in their own homes, and she’s been doing it ever since.
Her determination and big heart shine through in everything she does. Take the time she decided to skydive – even though she’d never been on a plane! She raised over £1,000 for Home Instead and the Alzheimer’s Society, showing just how far she’s willing to go to make a difference. And when her car broke down? Yasmin didn’t let it stop her – she walked over 20 miles in a day to make sure none of her clients missed their care.
But Yasmin’s impact goes even deeper. In 2020, she supported Shane, a stroke survivor who has lost mobility and confidence. Thanks to Yasmin’s care, Shane made an incredible recovery. When Shane suffered a second stroke in 2023, Yasmin again helped him regain his independence. Today, Shane can sit upright, move his limbs, eat on his own and even enjoy conversations, all thanks to Yasmin’s support.
Yasmin’s story is just one example of the amazing work our Care Professionals do every day. She embodies the values of Home Instead and the difference one person can make.
We can’t wait to celebrate all our Care Professional of the Year finalists.
