Newsletter July 2024

Welcome to our monthly newsletter, where we’re excited to share updates, stories, and insights from our community. As we navigate through July, we’re focusing on attitudes towards ageing and scam prevention, highlighting the importance of fostering a positive outlook on aging and equipping our clients with essential knowledge to protect against scams. This month, we’ve been busy connecting with our clients and caregivers through informative workshops, engaging discussions, and proactive outreach efforts. Join us as we dive into the latest from Home Instead Charnwood, celebrating our commitment to providing exceptional care and support to you and your loved ones.
This month, we were honoured to attend prestigious events such as the Dementia Care Awards and Stars of Social Care Awards in London, where we proudly accepted the Dementia Friendly Business award.
These achievements reflect our dedication to excellence in care and our commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve. We are so proud of our hardworking key players and Care Professionals who are the real driving force behind this success. As we continue our journey, we look forward to further enriching our community and providing compassionate care that enhances quality of life for seniors and their families.

In June, Home Instead Charnwood has been buzzing with activity, actively engaging with our community at events like the Arc Community Hub and Hope Fest Festival, where our stalls provided valuable information and connected with attendees. We hope to be out more these warmer months so if you have an event that are needing stallholders, We’d love to be there!

We also celebrated our team spirit with an exciting office photoshoot day. Our dedicated team gathered to update headshots and capture lovely team pictures that reflect our unity and commitment to exceptional care. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the faces behind our compassionate services and highlight the camaraderie that drives our mission forward.

Our Dementia Sensory Garden recently received some much-needed TLC from local volunteers Phil Cooper & Susanne Howes. Their hard work and dedication have revitalised this special space, making it even more welcoming and therapeutic for our clients.
We are incredibly grateful for their efforts and support, which have brought new lease of life to the garden. This act of kindness underscores the strength of our community and our shared commitment to enhancing the well-being of those living with dementia.

Our director Charlotte Johnson invited 6 of our Care Professionals for a Luxury Afternoon Tea to celebrate over 5 years of service with Home Instead.
This was a delightful afternoon full of enriching conversations about the difference they make in our clients lives and celebrating their hard work and achievements with delicious cake and coffee.

We are excited to introduce our new care solutions, a great concept that combines our high-quality home care services with tailored and personalised packages designed to support you or your loved one. With a fixed monthly payment, you can enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing your care needs are met without the worry of fluctuating costs. Our flexible packages allow you to add or cancel visits as needed, with no extra charges, ensuring you receive the right level of support when you need it. This exceptional service offers convenience and transparency, making it easier than ever to maintain independence and well-being at home.

Introducing the New Ageing Index by Home Instead.
This quarterly study explores how individuals envision their later years, aiming to spark conversations about ageing and the role of quality home care. The findings reveal a strong optimism: 89% of those 75+ desire an active lifestyle, and 54% of adults anticipate lifespan and health span improvements in the next decade.
These insights help Home Instead tailor services to meet the evolving needs and aspirations of our clients. By understanding their preferences, we create personalised care plans that promote independence, positivity, and vitality. The New Ageing Index reaffirms our commitment to enhancing quality of life, ensuring elderly clients thrive and enjoy fulfilling lives at every stage of ageing.
