As technology becomes more sophisticated, so do the techniques and methods criminals use to trick people.
New ways to commit fraud and scams are being discovered all the time and older people, with their lifetime of hard-earned savings and a natural inclination to trust, are often the main targets of scammers and fraudsters.
We provide ‘free’ talks that aim to empower people with the knowledge and tools to help protect themselves from these individuals, by sharing important information about spotting and protecting yourself against fraud or a scam.
Including the most common methods: Investment, Puchase and Doorstep scams to some of the more recent fraud and scams that are currently doing the rounds.
This is a Free 30-minute talk, followed by a Q&A with the audience – if time allows, our Community Engagement Office Julie will stay around to speak to anybody one-on-one.
