Santa is on his way to touch the lives of our older community this Christmas
Home Instead’s gift-giving scheme aims to touch the lives of older people in our community, who may be lonely or might not receive a gift this Christmas.
So far in total we have donated over 5,000 gifts and hampers to those who have been alone during the festive period, all thanks to the generosity of our local community……you!
We were yet again overwhelmed last year by the support and public response with gifts, and over 700 gifts donated, including hampers and raffle prizes! These were collected, wrapped and delivered to our community by our busy Home Instead Elves in time for the festive period !!
We are again teaming up with Tesco’s Princes Road, Chelmsford, where we will have a stand in-store for 3 days, where our festive Home Instead team will be handing out wish lists, to assist busy shoppers with gift suggestions and ideas of the kind of gifts they might like to purchase and donate.
These could be anything from:
toiletrie,s
gift sets, gloves and scarves
mugs
calendars
boxes of biscuits
chocolates
tinned or long-life groceries that can create hampers
If you would like to get involved and make a difference in someone’s life this Christmas, please visit us on one of our donation days. Alternatively, feel free to drop donations into our office – Alexandra House, 36a Church Street, Great Baddow, Chelmsford CM2 7HY
Christmas can be a lonely time for many, especially the older generation, and loneliness can have serious effects on a person’s health. Home Instead aims to prevent loneliness through companionship care, throughout the year.
Together, we can beat loneliness 💜💜
