Home Instead UK latest research New Ageing Index has revealed profound insights into older adults attitudes to ageing. The most striking revelation? Perhaps the overwhelming desire for independence and the wish to stay in our own homes.

The research statistics speak volumes—44% of older adults fear ending up in a care home, compared to a lower 36% who worry about the death of a partner.
The desire to remain at home increases with age, even if unwell; a striking 60% of those aged between 66-74, and a staggering 86% and 91% among the older cohorts, prefer home treatment if they fall ill.
