At Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley, we are excited to announce our wholehearted support for Skills for Care’s Building Digital Confidence initiative!

Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley fully transitioned to digital back-office tools four years ago, recognising early on the power of digital technology to enhance the quality and efficiency of our award-winning, high-quality care and support services.

Digitalisation of our back-office functions such as scheduling, record-keeping, and care planning, enabled us to improve the services we provide for our wonderful Clients through enhanced consistency, greater transparency, and better standards of care, giving authorised family members mobile digital access via our ‘app’ to care and support records.

Our commitment goes beyond adopting digital tools. We are continually investing in our team’s individual and personal skills development and growth, providing extensive e-learning and City&Guilds training and development opportunities.

For Care Professionals and Key Players who may find technology challenging, we already offer additional one-on-one classroom-based training and support to try and help our staff feel confident and capable in using our digital care systems.

This initiative aligns perfectly with our values, as we work hard daily to build a more empowered team with the skillset to consistently deliver ‘Outstanding’, high-quality person-centred care.

Backing the Skills for Care digital vision, we are at the forefront of the care sector that is gradually moving towards more technologically advanced and connected care systems.

Together, let’s help build digital confidence and enhance care standards, without losing the individualism and personal touches, that are so integral.
