Yellow Heat-Health Warning:

As you may be aware, the Met Office and the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) have today issued a yellow heat-health warning to several regions across England that commenced at 09.00 and will last until 6pm on 27th June 2024.

The North-West is one of the affected regions, with temperatures expected to reach up to 30C.

A yellow weather warning means that weather conditions might signal a risk to those who are especially vulnerable.

Please ensure that you and our Clients remain fully hydrated at all times, leaving fluids available for clients to access throughout the day.

Please ensure that weather appropriate clothing is worn and that Clients are supported to keep their homes cool by covering windows, turning off unnecessary lights or equipment and opening windows when it is safe to do (remembering to close them on departure) and checking that medications are stored in a cool place – following the instructions on each label.

Please read the links below, from the UK Government advice for how to respond to the hot weather, helping our Clients and yourselves to stay safe during this period of prolonged heat.
