We believe life is for living and thanks to the many senior friendly wellness activities on offer across Tendring there’s lots of opportunities for you to stay active.
We appreciate that as you get older energy levels and motivation can drop, your joints might be feeling stiff and finding the right activity to keep you moving might be more challenging. But as the saying goes ‘if you don’t move it, you lose it’ so making that extra effort to stay active is more important than ever. We are lucky to have some wonderful senior-friendly classes going on locally, from Yoga on the beach in Holland-on-Sea to Indoor Bowls in Walton. Go on, give it a go, with patience, and an open-heart you might be surprised by the benefits you gain. Here are a few to get you inspired.
At Home Instead we want to help you age joyfully and our Fun Programme supports people, no matter what age and ability to have fun, feel a sense of purpose and live life to the fullest.
Tailor-made to each client, our fully trained physical activities co-ordinator visits you in your own home to find out about your lifestyle and interests. Then a programme of home based, senior friendly activities is designed aimed at improving your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. So, it doesn’t matter whether you live in Kirby, Walton, St Osyth or Clacton we come to you.
We support you to gently improve your physical health, perhaps with some simple, armchair exercises boosting vitality and mobility. We explore ways to stimulate your mind and reconnect you to hobbies or support you to try a new passion. We have a wealth of ideas and resources on hand, from games and puzzles to audio books and playlists for life.
