Head through the park, cross the steady flowing river and follow the signs directing you to the Tea Rooms and Italian Gardens. Alternatively if your feeling adventurous, you could always hop on the miniature railway and soak in the sights as you leisurely pass by on your more relaxed mode of transport.
There are a number of walks through the park for you to enjoy and work up an appetite before resting at the Tea Rooms boasting its Victorian charm, highlighting Saltburn’s rich history. The nearby Woodland Centre can give you an abundance of information on local wildlife should you wish to explore further, maybe even tackle the infamous Cleveland Way

The cooked sandwiches are a recommended favourite along with the antipasti platter which consisted of a great variety of hot and cold tasters. Food experts have raved about the cakes on offer and this quaint little café ranks highly with locals.

This vibrant cafe with food and drink with some Mediterranean flare, Café Nossa is a Portuguese Deli is located just on the High Street of Yarm Town Centre and is well worth a visit if you’re looking for somewhere special to treat yourself to some delicious cake and coffee and maybe buy some delicious cheese, wine or pastries.
Oh my word! what a little gem in the up-and-coming Norton High Street this is. serving up delightful coffee and cakes whilst you can peruse the handmade luxurious chocolates, macarons, fudge, Turkish delight and so many homemade cakes… this quiet little café is very different to everything else on offer on the High Street.
They even have dog ice cream, which was a big hit for us on our summer walk with the pooch.
If you don’t fancy sitting in you can have a hot drink and a cake to take away from Choco Latte and sit by the lovely Duckpond taking in the views, and if we’re really lucky for some hot weather why not treat yourself to a delicious ice cream?
