Q&A with our Care Professionals at Home Instead Dartford

Q: Please tell everyone how you came across Home Instead Dartford and why you decided to join us?

A: I found Home Instead through the job centre. Before joining, I was working as a cleaner or in an office, but I never felt fulfilled in those roles. With Home Instead, I feel like I finally have a purpose. I absolutely love that in my job, I can help and encourage others in ways they didn’t think possible.

Home Instead are amazing to work for, and I would love to stay with them for a very long time.

Q: What kind of training have you done, and how has that training helped you deliver outstanding care?

A: I have learned so much since joining. The dementia training, in particular, has really opened my eyes. Now, I feel confident working with people living with dementia, and I truly believe I can help them in meaningful ways. The training has empowered me to deliver the best possible care to my clients.

Q: Share with us a rewarding moment or experience when you made a real difference in someone’s life.

A: I once took a client to a local farm, and she absolutely loved it. She talked about it for ages afterwards, saying how it made her feel at one with nature. It was such a simple outing, but it brought her so much joy, and that made me incredibly happy as well.

Q: If anyone is thinking about joining our ‘TeamPurple,’ what advice would you give them?

A: Give Home Instead a call before you decide, and you will see what a great company they are.

Go for it! You won’t ever look back! It’s so rewarding and fulfilling.

Q: What is the best part of your job?

A: Seeing the smiles on a client’s face when you go to visit and listening to the stories of their lives as they grew up. To quote “If you do a job you love you will never work a day in your life”.
