1. Bluebell Dairy Ice Cream Farm (DE21 7BU)

On a sunny day why not visit Bluebell Dairy Ice Cream Farm. In a rural setting, this farm offers homemade cool treats at their ice cream parlour which is open to all visitors. It also has many accessible facilities, including flat paths and accessible toilets, making it a perfect spot for everyone to unwind and relish the calm surroundings.

2. Calke Abbey (DE73 7LE)

Near Ticknall, Calke Abbey’s sprawling estate transports you through time. With some accessible garden paths, wheelchair-friendly routes, and interiors brimming with history, this National Trust property ensures a great experience, blending nature with heritage and history.

3. Foremark Reservoir (DE65 6EG)

For those seeking a peaceful escape, Foremark Reservoir is a nature reserve with open water views, and woodland walks and makes a lovely outing. Its water views create the ideal backdrop for tranquil walks, picnics, or simply getting a refreshment from the kiosk and looking out to soak in nature’s beauty. The reservoir features accessible paths and picnic areas designed to accommodate visitors with limited mobility.

4. Markeaton Park (DE22 3BG)

As one of Derby’s largest parks, Markeaton Park offers ample shaded paths, an accessible kiosk, Orangery (currently only open for takeaway), and a boating lake.
