At Home Instead Derby South, we’re excited to announce that earlier this month, we celebrated our fresh start with new owners who bring aspirations to deliver the very best home care to our local community, backed by their deep-rooted experience in the medical field.
We’re dedicated to providing top-quality care, and as part of our relaunch, we’ve updated our local office, located in the heart of Swadlincote, with a new splash of colour, it’s warm, welcoming and our door is open!

Did you see the colourful balloons outside our office earlier this month? We hope that you popped in and said hello! On the 3rd of June, we held a get-together at our office on Hill Street, Swadlincote, to mark and celebrate our relaunch. The aim of our event was to bring everyone together and to show our commitment to the local community. Our office space is refreshed and welcoming, and provided a lovely setting for the celebration. It was wonderful to see our office team, Care Professionals, and families mingling with clients over a piece of cake and a cup of tea! The event began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and we were delighted to ask one of our local clients to cut the ribbon, symbolising the start of a new chapter for Home Instead Derby South

Home Instead Derby South is now under the stewardship of experienced new owners with a strong background in healthcare. This medical expertise, paired with a passion and commitment for caring, brings a solid foundation for our local branch. Their experience extends beyond our local office, having also established successful home care teams at Home Instead Nottingham and Home Instead Burton on Trent. Their approach to caregiving is both professional and nurturing, ensuring that our clients receive the best care possible.
Our local team of Care Professionals are supported by a team in the office who keep everything running smoothly and are always at the end of the phone for families and clients, including our Care Manager, Scheduler, Recruiter, all dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of service and continuously improving our home care practices.

At Home Instead, our home care is about enhancing quality of life in the homes our clients love. Beyond day-to-day assistance, Home Instead Derby South focuses on companionship, and relationship-led care to support the social and emotional well-being of older adults, so that they can continue to enjoy living in our local area, in their own home.
In line with our philosophy, we’re excited to be launching our new weekly memory cafe starting in July in the village of Moira—a social group for those living with dementia or Parkinson’s, along with their carers. Additionally, we’re excited for the future and are planning more community events in South Derby, later in 2024. These initiatives aim to create a supportive environment where older adults can thrive and feel a sense of community.
