Home care in Dudley and Sandwell is more than just a career, it’s a way to make a real difference. Join the Home Instead team and discover the rewards of caring.
Choosing a career in home care means choosing to help people live better lives. In Dudley and Sandwell, many of our team members join us because they’ve seen first-hand the importance of quality care. They want to give others the same dignity, patience, and kindness they’ve given to loved ones.
For some, this role is about making a career change; for others, it’s a natural step after years of caring for family. But for all of us, it’s personal.
Julie Martin, one of our wonderful Care Professionals in Dudley and Sandwell South, is a perfect example of what it means to bring heart into the job. As a mum of four, stepmum to two, and grandmother of four, Julie knows what it means to look after others.
“When my children got older and didn’t need me as much, I knew it was time to go back to work,” Julie says. “But I didn’t want just any job – I wanted to help people.”
Julie had worked in care before, but the short visits, sometimes just 15 minutes, left her feeling like she couldn’t support her clients the way she wanted.
“I didn’t like rushing,” she explains. “That’s not how I’d want someone to treat my own family.”
When Julie heard that Home Instead offers a minimum of one-hour visits, she knew it was the right place for her. “That gave me time to actually get to know my clients and care for them the way they should be cared for – no rushing around. Just pure care.”
At Home Instead Dudley & Sandwell, we offer more than a job. We offer a place where you’re supported, valued, and part of something meaningful. Just ask Julie:
“All the office team are amazing; they go out of their way to support our clients and us. It’s not a job to me – it’s a pleasure. I see our clients like family.”
We know that life isn’t always easy outside of work, which is why we offer flexibility and support when it matters most. Julie experienced this first-hand:
“When my dad was ill, Home Instead adjusted my hours so I could still be there for him. I was so grateful for that.”
