We believe companionship shouldn’t feel rushed, which is why our visits always last at least an hour. This gives us proper time to do things together – whether that’s making lunch, playing cards, or enjoying a trip to the Dundee Botanic Garden. Our Care Professionals don’t wear uniforms so that outings feel relaxed and natural, just like spending time with a friend. By doing things with rather than for our clients, we help maintain the independence that means so much.
We offer two types of home care: hourly care, where we visit at set times, or live-in care, where a carer resides in the home. Both are overseen by our care management team and delivered by compassionate Care Professionals. Each care package is made up of of a unique mix services to meet your needs.

The positive stories shared on homecare.co.uk show the difference genuine companionship makes. As one daughter wrote, “Mum wasn’t too keen at first to have carers coming to the house but very quickly, due to the carers’ understanding of her needs, she accepted the situation and enjoyed their company.” It’s lovely to see how these natural friendships develop, giving families peace of mind knowing their loved ones have regular, meaningful company.

Our Care Professionals come from varied backgrounds, bringing diverse life experiences to their roles. We look after our team like an extended family – they’re all fully employed, thoroughly DBS and reference-checked, and receive comprehensive training and support in their roles. Many have been with us for years, having built genuine connections and passion for their work, which helps us provide the continuity our clients value. They’re skilled at spotting early signs that someone might need extra support, working closely with our office team who can adjust care as needs change.
Being active in our community matters to us. We regularly visit local spots like The Bach café or take gentle walks around Caird Park. Getting out and about in our community makes such a difference to companionship visits, too. Many of our Care Professionals drive and are fully insured to take clients on outings – whether that’s enjoying the history at Dundee Museum of Transport, having coffee at a cafe in Arbroath, or taking a gentle stroll along Broughty Ferry Beach. Our Care Professionals know the area well and often suggest activities their clients might enjoy, from community groups to favourite local cafes where they can maintain social connections that mean so much.
