Treasure Tree – is a mobility equipment social enterprise supporting the work of VOCAL, a charity that supports unpaid carers in Edinburgh & Midlothian.
Today, we caught up with Debbie from Treasure Tree at their shop in Ocean Terminal to find out more about the support & benefits available to unpaid carers looking for mobility equipment.
They also have an online eBay store at https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/treasuretreeforvocalcarers.
So how does it work?
You can…
Buy from Treasure Tree and save on mobility equipment
Sell through Treasure Tree, splitting the proceeds
Donate to Treasure Tree to support carer services at VOCAL
Only items that have been bought privately can be accepted.
Anything loaned by an OT or Physio should be returned to equipment stores when it’s no longer needed.
All items are cleaned, inspected and all electrics are PAT tested by Treasure Tree before being listed for sale.
Debbie was really helpful and happy to show us a wide range of mobility equipment in stock in the shop, including…
Mobility scooters and Electric wheelchairs
Manual wheelchairs
Hoists
Commodes
Riser recliner chairs
Walkers and rollators
If you’d like to donate or sell items through Treasure Tree they can be dropped off at the store in Ocean Terminal, pickups may be available for larger items.
