When we stepped aboard the Lucy Fisher ferry at Runnymede, a world of tranquillity and beauty unfolds before your eyes. For the afternoon, our clients embarked on a journey filled with wonder and joy as the gentle waves of the River Thames carried us along. But it wasn’t just a boat ride; it was an opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich history and breath taking scenery that the river beholds.
The knowledgeable staff of the Lucy Fisher Ferry took the helm, doubling as expert guides, sharing fascinating insights about the River Thames and its surroundings. They delighted our clients with tales of the river’s rich history and the beautiful views that we glided past.
After our serene boat trip along the Thames, we wanted to ensure our clients had the opportunity to savour some delicious treats and continue their enjoyable day. That’s why we took them to the renowned Magna Carta Tea Room, where they experienced true culinary bliss while engaging in heart warming conversations, accompanied by the freshy brewed cups of tea were freshly baked scones.
At Elmbridge Home Care, we strive to go above and beyond in creating meaningful experiences for our clients. This boat trip on the River Thames was one such endeavour, where we aimed to spark joy and create cherished memories. Witnessing the smiles and hearing the laughter of our clients reaffirmed our commitment to providing exceptional care and enriching their lives.
As well as our special annual events, we also host regular Friendship Lunches and Cinema events for our clients and members of the community. We believe that socialising is very important, especially as we age, to help our mental and physical health.
Our cinema events show screenings of a wide range of films, from old classics to new musicals, in an environment that is suited for people living with dementia.
Our Friendship Lunches run twice a month, where guests are able to have a bite to eat and a hot or cold drink, whilst having a good opportunity to make new friends. We also play board games and do seasonal activities.
