Special Guests at Memory Lane Café

Home Instead Epping Forest try to make every monthly Memory Lane Café special and interesting.

Last Wednesday, Baloo, a Border Collie dog, from the charity Essex Therapy Dogs came along with his owner Danielle.

With over 35 Clients and Members of the Community, Baloo was welcomed by everyone. Danielle introduced Baloo to each person who wanted to meet him (which was pretty much everyone). He was so calm and sat patiently while being stroked and photographs taken. One comment we received was “it is amazing how calm Baloo remained even though music was being played”.

Therapy Animals reduce anxiety and improve wellbeing, which was clear to see on Wednesday afternoon.  Moving forward we are aiming to book a further visit in September.
