Exeter & East Devon receive 5 Star Employer in Care status, again!
Results showed that we are living up to our pledge to be different, with our team of over one hundred highly commending Home Instead in relation to factors such as top-quality training opportunities and supportive leadership.
The PEAQ (Pursuing Excellence by Advancing Quality) survey offers our entire team and client base the chance to have their say on the topics that matter most, and was conducted by independent employee engagement experts, WorkBuzz.
The PEAQ survey results shape our plans and help the Leadership team at Home Instead Exeter & East Devon to make crucial decisions for the future, with a view to benefitting Clients and Care Professionals alike. In 2023, the team implemented a wide variety of changes to enhance client experience, workplace culture, retention, training and rewards for team members in response to the results of the 2022 survey.
Home Instead Exeter and East Devon is delighted to have received an impressive employee engagement score of 92 for the most recent 2023 survey: a rating that very few companies achieve.
The survey also extended to our valued Client base, with 100 percent reporting that they felt Home Instead supported them to achieve their care requirements, and the same full marks score of 100 percent recorded with regard to the quality of our services for both hourly care and Live-In support.
Home Instead Exeter and East Devon continues to offer opportunities for more people to come onboard and join our team, as demand for our officially CQC Outstanding client services continues to grow.
“Just as in 2022, our Personalised Career Pathways scheme sees us supporting over twenty percent of the team with fully funded RQF qualifications, enabling them to build their skillset and be eligible for higher rates of pay. Our goal has always been to not just be the care provider of choice, but the care employer of choice, too. These 2023 results are a real boost as they confirm that we are reaching those aims.”

Exeter & East Devon team members have also continued to acknowledge the Company for being a supportive employer, with regard to wellbeing. The leadership team have continued to break boundaries by championing issues that can affect employees, such as menopause, by running regular events such as book clubs, walking groups and social gatherings to bring colleagues together as friends. In the past year, they have also championed the value of ‘older workers’ (age 50+) by becoming the first home care provider in the region to commit to the Age-Friendly Employer Pledge by the Centre for Ageing Better.
