A makeup artist, a mechanic, a counselor, and an accounting support professional

Our current team is a great example of how a part time job with Home Instead can work for people from all walks of life! We have Care Professionals who work around school hours, care for elderly relatives, or balance other part-time and even full-time work. Among our team members, you’ll find a makeup artist, a mechanic, a counselor, and an accounting support professional, and we enjoy the variety this brings to our outstanding team and for our clients too.

Work hours that can work for you

We can offer hours that work around a range of commitments people may have. Perhaps you’re looking for evening-only work, morning shifts, or a mix of both, we have options that can fit your needs. For example, some of our Care Professionals work just three or four evenings a week, while others prefer to work every evening. Similarly, we have team members who work only in the mornings, or who work throughout the day with breaks in the afternoon.

While we offer a range of hours, it’s important to note that being a Care Professional with Home Instead requires responsibility and a commitment to your schedule. Our clients depend on us, and being reliable is key to providing the high standard of care that we’re known for. This role involves visiting clients in their homes, so it’s essential that you’re punctual and dedicated to making each visit meaningful.

Proud to be an age-friendly employer

At Home Instead Fareham and Gosport, we value the experience and wisdom that older workers bring to our team. We’re proud to be an Age-Friendly Employer, part of a national initiative led by the Centre for Ageing Better. This pledge reflects our commitment to providing meaningful work opportunities for people in their 50s, 60s, and beyond.

In fact, 65% of our local team members are over 50, with 25% over 60, and our oldest Care Professional is 80! We don’t see age as a barrier –  we see it as an asset. The life experience that our older Care Professionals bring is invaluable in providing compassionate and understanding care to our clients.
