Are you looking for a Pet-friendly Live-in Care option that helps you support your health and your pets? Here's how we do things at Home Instead.
While we aren’t trained in pet care, Home Instead offers assistance in Farnborough with pets for seniors in our home care programs, including our part-time and full-time Live-In Care service.
What does that look like?
We can help your loved ones feed their pets, walk their dogs and assist them where needed, or help you arrange for pet walkers, cat sitters or boarding kennels for when your loved ones are under hospital care.
We are also happy to recommend our favourite pet-friendly places.
We’ll pass you over to our Farborough Care Pros for their local pet-friendly Farnborough recommendations and client favourites.
Fran Griffin recommends several dog-friendly places in Farnborough
Southwood Country Park – Easy for those with walkers or wheelchairs, stunning scenery and a fantastic cafe open daily (8 am to 5 pm).
Hawley Woods – Better for those a little more mobile, but there is plenty of space for dogs to enjoy some quiet freedom.
Fleet Pond – With 141 acres of varied habitats, Fleet Pond is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Its paths are wheelchair accessible, and there is free parking.
King George VI Park – A large family park with decent paths and several places to sit.
Rectory Road Park – A busy dog walking area, but a nice spot to walk in.
Osborne Rd Park – Although small, it is a nice enough dog exercise area.
Polo Fields – Again, it is pretty small, but it hosts local fairs and events that could be fun to visit.
Amanda Pond recommends Mytchett Canal Centre, which offers beautiful views and a lovely morning coffee with a full English breakfast! There’s lots of outdoor seating overlooking the canal with its magnificent narrow boats. It’s worth a visit with seniors with or without pets. You can even take a trip on the beautiful 12-seater open-sided boat, “Rosebud.”

Nicky Thomson recommends Cantine, a pet-friendly cafe near Fleet Pond on Fleet High Street. The food is good, and they even cater to canine friends with a full dog menu.
If you are looking for a family meal, we recommend The Squirrel Pub, which offers indoor and outdoor seating, afternoon teas, Sunday roasts, and pet menus.
