The nominees for this year’s BFA Awards have been announced, and we’re delighted to see Home Instead in two shortlists, showcasing the fantastic work of not only our National Office but also one of our franchise offices.
The BFA Awards celebrate excellence in the franchise sector. They recognise the franchises particularly showing innovation, and award those that are going from strength to strength, introducing the brand in more areas across the UK.
Home Instead UK is shortlisted in the ‘Brand Awareness’ category. It comes hot off the heels of our Take Care campaign, which highlighted the struggles of family caregivers. The judges were impressed with the campaign’s impact, including the video which tugged on the heartstrings of many.
Our survey results were covered in national press including The Guardian, triggering conversations about the crisis that many families face. Reaching over a million views on YouTube and seeing a 70% year-on-year growth in website visitors, we’re proud of awareness we raised about such a key issue.
The recognition doesn’t stop there! Home Instead Cleveland has been nominated in the ‘Community Focus’ category, crediting the work they do making people more scam aware. As fraud becomes even more commonplace, sadly older people are increasingly a target. The team at Cleveland have led a campaign cluing up older people and their families about fraud through workshops, toolkits and other helpful materials. They have truly cemented themselves as champions of issues affecting older people in the community.
We look forward to the ceremony in November, which will be hosted by Pip Wilkins, CEO of the BFA, and Gillian Morris, Head of Franchising at HSBC UK.
Congratulations to all of the nominees who are just as excited as we are about what the future holds for franchising.
