The team from Home Instead had a fantastic evening last week, picking up two awards at the Leaders in Care Awards 2019. These awards recognise and celebrate the companies and people in the home care and care home sectors who are driving innovation and providing outstanding, person-centred care.
Our CEO, Martin Jones, was named as Executive of the Year – recognising his inspired leadership on both a company and sector-wide level. The judges acknowledged Martin’s instrumental role in steering our network of over 200 offices to ‘change the face of ageing.’
They also mentioned his passion for our bespoke approach to quality and how this is resulted in us achieving more CQC Outstanding ratings than any other home care provider.
Martin’s drive to investigate the potential of technology to deliver positive change in the sector was also mentioned.
On winning the award, Martin said: “It’s a privilege, and this is for all of the caregivers that are out there. It’s not about me, it’s about changing the face of the sector so this is just a fantastic thing to be part of.”
The grand finale of the evening was for Home Care Provider of the Year where we were up against four other providers. Our team was, quite rightly, thrilled when we were announced as winners.
In making this award the judges cited that we have ‘led the pack’ in terms of providing outstanding care over the past 12 months. They were also impressed with our innovative model where clients’ emotional and social needs are prioritised and mention was also made of our willingness to embrace new technologies to support our clients.
We are absolutely delighted with these two awards which, once again, demonstrate how we are leading from the front in all aspects of home care.
