Ian and Julie Williams, owners of Home Instead’s Dudley and Sandwell office, have led the business to considerable success and popularity, creating a strong reputation for caring for older people across the West Midlands since it was launched in 2012.
Ten years on, Home Instead Dudley and Sandwell now employs a team of 46 Care Professionals and office staff who are all committed to providing over 2300 hours of quality care a month to enable older people to remain in their own homes for as long as possible.
The company’s services are tailored to the individual needs of each client and range from companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping and personal care. Care Professionals are also expertly trained in specialist dementia and palliative care along with bespoke health care such as minor dressings, stoma care, vital signs monitoring and diabetes support.
Having started out in just a single room office, their growing business has seen them take over a whole wing of their offices at Castlemill in Tipton, just outside Dudley town centre.
Bearing testament to the quality of care provided, they are the only care company in the region to have been recognised as outstanding in four areas by the Care Quality Commission.
The caring company has the community at heart and supports a variety of activities and organisations including local dementia groups, Hope House Church, the Monday Club in Gornal, the Lighthouse Café together with schools and colleges, and has opened two companionship cafés in the area.
Home Instead’s 10 year celebration took place at the Savoy Centre in Dudley, and was attended by Home Instead care professionals along with many of their clients and families, and community partners. Guest of honour was Home Instead’s Chief Operating Officer, Ruth Brown.
The guests were thoroughly spoiled with a generous array of food, cakes and entertainment from the hilarious Fizzogs Dancing Grannies.
Former nurse Julie said: “I’d like to thank all the guests for attending and of course, our fantastic care professionals and staff, who continue to provide phenomenal support to all of our clients. It was one of my proudest moments seeing everyone celebrate what we have achieved over the last ten years.
