Home Instead’s Ruth Brown appointed as new bfa Northern Forum Chair

We are delighted to share the announcement that Ruth Brown, Home Instead’s Head of Franchise Development, has been appointed as the new Chair for the British Franchise Association’s (bfa) Northern Forum.

Entering the world of franchising in 2002, and latterly at Thorntons, Ruth lives and breathes franchising and is a huge advocate of promoting franchising as a career choice. She has spoken about the subject of franchising at a number of different events as well as 6th form colleges throughout the UK.

Since joining Home Instead in 2010, Ruth has recruited over 180 franchisees into the network, both for new territories as well as re-sales. Speaking about her new appointment, she said: “I’m delighted to be named as the new Chair of the bfa’s Northern Forum.

“I’m passionate about franchising, I’ve seen first-hand the positive impact it can have on the lives of individuals, families and communities. It’s incredibly fulfilling to be able to support new business owners as they embark upon their journey because I know the rewards that await them.

“In my role as Chair of the bfa Northern Forum, I’ll have the opportunity to engage with like-minded professionals who share my passion for franchising. Together we will be able to use our skills and experience to promote the excellent work of the bfa and engage other franchises for the benefit of the entire network.”

Martin Jones, Managing Director of Home Instead, said: “On behalf of the Home Instead team, I’d like to congratulate Ruth on her appointment as Chair of the bfa Northern Forum.

“Ruth is a true ambassador for franchising and I have no doubt that she will demonstrate the same passion, dedication and commitment in her capacity as Chair of the bfa Northern Forum as she does day in, day out here at Home Instead.”
