Our 2018 National Conference, held at the ACC in Liverpool, was our biggest and best yet with approaching 400 delegates in attendance on the first day and over 800 on day two.
The theme was ‘ThePowerOf’ and over the two days we explored the power of the Home Instead brand, the power of our network and the power of collaboration to name just three of the strands.
Paul and Lori Hogan, who founded Home Instead in the US 24 years ago joined our 55-strong national office team and together we welcomed our franchise owners, their key players and members of the home office team from the US including CEO and President, Jeff Huber.
Special guests included our keynote speakers, ‘recovering academic’ Dr Andy Cope (Dr Happy) and behaviour expert Jez Rose. We were delighted to once again welcome television presenter and journalist, Sarah-Jane Mee who, together with our managing director, Martin Jones, kept proceedings on track.
On Saturday we were joined by some of our amazing clients who delighted us with anecdotes and shared with us what a difference the care they receive makes to their lives.
It was really exciting to hear and feel the buzz of 850 guests as we joined together on Saturday evening for our Gala Dinner where franchise owners received Cornerstone awards recognising business success. And then the grand finale – the crowning of our CAREGiver of the Year 2018, Michael Bradbury.
It’s quite phenomenal to see how the brand continues to grow. Jeff Huber reported on our 28% year on year growth with turnover of $1.75 billion in 2018.
We are operating in a growth market, we have a proven model and a hugely successful team – we can’t wait to see what 2019 will bring.
