We are delighted to announce we have made it onto the Sunday Times Best Small Companies list for 2018.
Home Instead was launched in the UK in 2005 with just one office. Today, our national hub supports more than 195 offices across the country to deliver companionship-based home care. Our 52-strong team of experts support our network of offices in areas spanning business performance, training and development, care quality, IT, finance, legal and marketing.
Our National Office and pilot office in Northwich took part in this year’s survey and are proud to rank as 83. The ranking follows from a 2 star accreditation in the annual Best Companies survey.
Martin Jones, managing director of Home Instead Senior Care, said: “To be placed in the Sunday Times Top 100 list is a huge honour and testament to the strong family culture we have created right from the beginning.
“I’m so proud to see that our employees value the culture and feel they have the right support, training and environment to be able to do a fantastic job.”
The National Office team has seen rapid growth in the last six months with 15 new positions created. These roles, from appointing Karen Dakin as Head of People and Rob Tovey as Head of Quality, help to provide even better support to the network of franchise offices across the UK.
The business has a culture of supporting personal development and offers an extensive range of leadership and operational training workshops. Also available is access to online resources, team away days and the opportunity to take part in a volunteering programme. Personal development support is also available to Home Instead’s franchisees, their office teams and CAREGivers. The company ran over 150 courses for their network, training over 700 people in 2017 alone.
To support wellbeing, Home Instead runs an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), available to all 195 franchise offices across the UK. The programme is managed by Life & Progress and offers confidential support on a range of issues which could affect health and wellbeing.
This follows great news, as we’ve been recognised by smith+henderson as “Best Employer in Care” for the second consecutive year. We were also recently named the UK’s number one franchise in the Elite Franchise 100 and hold the Queen’s Award for Innovation, the highest accolade available to UK businesses.
