The Electronic Frailty Index suggests there are around 90,000 people living with mild, moderate or severe frailty in Gloucestershire. One of the largest contributing factors to the hospitalisation of older people living with frailty is falls. Overnight care often plays an important role in preventing nocturnal falls by providing reassurance and supporting mobility for those living with frailty, mobility, sensory or cognitive conditions. Night time care can also give you and your loved ones peace of mind by helping to establish a routine, combat loneliness and reduce anxiety.
Having overnight care at home can improve sleep quality by reducing nighttime disturbances, helping you to be well rested and ready to face the day.

We understand that sometimes, overnight care needs to be flexible. Short-term overnight care may help those recovering from illness or surgery, or provide relief for family caregivers by ensuring their loved ones receive attention and care while they rest.
Overnight care gives the option of waking or sleeping nights. While both mean that a Care Professional is present throughout the night, a waking night may be more suitable to those who experience disturbed sleep or have a medical condition that requires monitoring or medication throughout the night. Sleeping nights are a great benefit to those who require assistance with their bedtime and morning routines and would like the reassurance that someone is on hand, should they need them.
We offer two types of home care: hourly care, where we visit at set times, or live-in care, where a carer resides in the home. Both are overseen by our care management team and delivered by compassionate Care Professionals. Each care package is made up of of a unique mix services to meet your needs.

A Care Professional sleeps at your home overnight. This is a good option for those who don’t require much nightly supervision, but who would feel safer and more comfortable knowing there is someone sleeping nearby should they need help.
A Care Professional is awake and on duty in your home throughout the night. This is the best option for those who require more support or assistance during the night, such as with administering medication, bathroom visits, repositioning, or other issues.
Having care at home overnight means that you or your loved one can feel safe and supported within their own home, no matter what time of day or night it is. Knowing there is someone nearby helps provide peace of mind during the nighttime hours, resulting in a better night’s sleep.
