Businesses from across the borough were celebrated at a special awards event last night (April 15), as the winners of the 2025 Bexley Business Awards were officially announced
A Unified Celebration of Local Enterprise
This year marked a significant milestone for the awards, as the Bexley Business Awards joined forces with the Bexleyheath High Street Awards for the first time. This collaboration created a comprehensive celebration recognizing the full spectrum of local enterprise—from independent high street retailers and community organizations to established employers and emerging startups.
The event, organized by Bexleyheath BID and supported by generous local sponsors, served as a powerful testament to the dedication, creativity, and resilience demonstrated by businesses throughout our borough. It was inspiring to be in a room filled with so many passionate entrepreneurs and community champions who contribute to making Bexley such a vibrant place to live and work.
Recognizing Excellence Across Categories
The night was filled with well-deserved recognition across multiple categories. Among the standout winners were Theatre Box Performing Arts Academy, which took home the prestigious Business of the Year award, and Ikon Protection Ltd, honored with the Outstanding Contribution to the High Street award.
Our Special Moment: Highly Commended for Wellbeing in the Community
One of the most meaningful moments of the evening for our team came when we were announced as Highly Commended on the Wellbeing in the Community in Bexley category. At Home Instead we provide a variety of services for our clients, anything from a cup of tea and a chat, a walk in the park, help with meals or with appointments through to more hands-on care if needed. Our aim is to help our clients stay independent at home and bring happiness back into their lives. This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering health, happiness, and connection throughout our local area.
Being acknowledged for our wellbeing initiatives alongside so many outstanding organizations feels both humbling and motivating. This commendation validates the work we’ve been doing and inspires us to continue expanding our community wellbeing programs in the coming year.
