SOP Quiz & Afternoon Tea 2024

Supporting Older People (SOP) Quiz and Afternoon Tea, August 2024.

On the 13^th August, Home Instead Harrogate, Ripon & Thirsk organised a quiz at the Crown Hotel in Harrogate, hosted by Supporting Older People. The group did extremely well in the quiz, with questions about historical figures and old school music. We played Glenn Miller, Sinatra, Elvis, and some classic musical tunes from Carousel and South Pacific! It went down a treat.

This was followed by a delicious afternoon tea at the Crown Hotel, with plenty of cake and tea! It was fabulous to see familiar faces, clients, and friends in the local Harrogate community. We will continue to organise and help with local community events, socialising with friends, colleagues, and clients. Home Instead, Harrogate, Ripon & Thirsk will also be helping deliver Christmas gifts to those in the local community for SOP, something we do every year in December. This is a great chance to socialise and meet people in their homes, who are often rather lonely in the winter months. We will also be back with SOP on 12^th March 2025 for another busy event.
