The Kitchen at Keydells

The Kitchen at Keydells

Great ideas start with coffee! This is the motto for this lovely coffee ship set within the Keydell Nurseries, in Horndean – a leading independent garden centre which is much loved in the Havant area. Not only does this café pride itself on its friendly, helpful staff, but the menus also change each season, and they buy their ingredients as local as possible. Think yummy Treagusts sausages and bacon!

One of the best things about visiting this lovely eatery is the experience of walking through the garden centre and enjoying all the beautiful home decor and garden features they have on display. However, for those who wish to bypass the shop experience, there is a beautifully designed pathway that leads straight from the car park to the entrance of the coffee shop, making it both wheelchair friendly and easy to navigate.

This a high recommendation for your elderly loved ones or senior friends who would enjoy a morning breakfast treat in a beautiful setting.

Blooms Cafe, Emsworth

Blooms Cafe, Emsworth

The term ‘hidden gem’ can too often be used far too lightly, but when we use it in connection with the quirky and rather delightful Blooms Café and Bus, we think it perfectly aligns. For not only is it tucked away behind the elegant Jingles Hotel on Horndean Road, Emsworth, it’s also a quirky floral-themed café next to a secluded dew pond!

That’s right, serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, seven days a week, this is a must-do outing for your seniors who love their gardens, quiet, floral surroundings and homemade cakes served by cheery staff.

And that’s not all! Positioned outside the café, and next to the stunning gardens, there is a 1994 Stagecoach bus which has been beautifully refurbished to offer additional seating.
