Havant and Emsworth

Emsworth Christmas Lights and Carol Singing

Kick off December with some festive cheer! On 1 December 2024, gather in St Peter’s Square, Emsworth, for the much-loved Christmas Lights switch-on. From 5:30 pm, enjoy community carol singing and live music, creating a magical evening for all ages.

Enlightened Winter Light Trail at Staunton Farm

From 6 to 24 December 2024, Staunton Farm will sparkle with its enchanting Winter Light Trail. Follow paths, and wander through tunnels of twinkling lights, enchanted woodlands, and immersive displays, all accompanied by music. This wheelchair-accessible event promises a memorable experience for visitors of all ages (be aware that it can get muddy!).

Hayling Island

Hayling Island Baptist Church Carol Service

On Sunday, 15 December 2024, at 6:30 PM, join the Hayling Island Baptist Church at the Hayling Island Community Centre for an evening of traditional carols. This welcoming event is open to everyone.

Hayling Island Community Centre Christmas Events

The Hayling Island Community Centre on Station Road will be busy as usual throughout December with a range of festive activities. From carol concerts, Christmas markets, and events to suit all ages. For a full schedule of events, visit the centre’s website or contact them directly.

Waterlooville

Christmas Services at St George’s Church

On 1 December 2024, 6.30pm St George’s Church, Waterlooville is hosting its traditional candlelit carol service. 

Havant Symphony Orchestra “The Snowman” Performance

On 7 December 2024, the Havant Symphony Orchestra will bring the magic of Christmas alive with their performance of The Snowman by Howard Blake. Held at Oaklands School Concert Hall, there are two shows at 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm.

  • Stay active: Attending local events lifts all of our spirits and brings us together, for a sense of belonging.
  • Plan ahead: Check event details, parking, and accessibility for mobility limitations to ensure a stress-free outing.
  • Stay warm: With many activities held outdoors, it’s best to wrap up warmly with layers, hats and gloves and perhaps a hand warmer, and a hot drink in a flask.
