Meet our team from Home Instead Havant at Havant Dementia Day 2024, an informative day for anyone living with dementia or caring for someone with dementia.

At Home Instead Havant, we are committed to community engagement and value the significant role that spreading awareness plays in healthy ageing. This summer, we’re delighted to announce our participation in the Havant Dementia Information Day on Friday 28th June 2024. 

We are looking forward to participating in a fantastic day of educational and engaging talks, taster sessions and support, and the chance to meet with you!

Hosted by Havant Borough Council, Havant Borough Dementia CIO and Dementia Friendly Hampshire, the event presents an excellent opportunity for us to meet with you and your family. 

It’s a welcoming and inclusive day suitable for both individuals living with dementia and their loved ones. Come along to Horizon Leisure Centre in Havant, from 10:00am to 2.00pm to find out more about what is available in the local community.

Meet our team supporting Havant, Hayling Island, Emsworth and Waterlooville 

Members of our team will be available at our stand throughout the day, including Abi and our owner Mark. We are eager to share information about our home care services and have a chat about your needs. We have over a decade of experience supporting the local community and are always ready to lend a listening ear, signposting you to helpful organisations, charities, and healthcare options for those living with dementia in our local community.

A host of other organisations will also be present, including Age Concern, Citizens Advice, Dementia Pathfinders, and local solicitors. It’s going to be a great source of information, with beneficial talks and taster sessions running throughout the day and a valuable chance to gain insights about opportunities for connection and support for those living with dementia, across the local area.

The Love to Move Programme is an age and Dementia friendly seated activity programme which is transforming the lives of people living with Dementia. At Home Instead Havant we run regular Love to Move sessions in the community and have been delighted with the positive impact we have seen for our clients and other local people living with dementia.

Additionally, don’t miss our informative workshop on avoiding scams and preventing fraud, and effectively managing tech, tailored to enhance your digital safety.
