Planning ahead! Spreading joy to older adults in Hinckley, Burbage and Nuneaton

AtHome Instead Hinckley, Burbage and Nuneaton, we know it might feel a bit early to be thinking about Christmas—after all, summer has only just started to turn to autumn! But it’s for a very good reason, we’re getting a head start for a very important cause.

Ahead of the festive season, we’re excited to share how we’re working to spread joy to local older adults. Led by our owner Craig, u supported by our dedicated Care Manager Emma and together with all of our team, we are all getting started early on our annual seasonal initiative to support older adults, so that we can bring cheer to the season this year.

Kicking off our Christmas shoebox appeal

Christmas might still be a few months away, but here at Home Instead Hinckley, we believe it’s never too early to start spreading festive cheer. That’s why we’re already gearing up for our annual 4“Be a Santa to a Senior” campaign. Join in with our Christmas shoebox appeal, a lovely way bring joy and practical support to older adults in our community.

The idea is simple but impactful: we invite local residents to donate items that can be packaged into shoeboxes. These boxes, filled with festive gifts, practical items, and handmade cards from local schoolchildren, will be delivered to older adults across Hinckley, Nuneaton, and Burbage. This appeal isn’t just about gifts—it’s about creating connections and ensuring no one feels lonely or forgotten at Christmas.
