Companionship is about more than just having someone there; it’s about maintaining independence and staying connected to the things that matter. Our Care Professionals support clients to continue enjoying their hobbies, whether that’s playing games, gardening, or simply sharing conversations over a cup of tea. Early intervention through companionship care can also help maintain independence and social connections, often enabling people to stay in their own homes for longer. We understand how regular, friendly faces can make a real difference to someone’s wellbeing and quality of life.
We offer two types of home care: hourly care, where we visit at set times, or live-in care, where a carer resides in the home. Both are overseen by our care management team and delivered by compassionate Care Professionals. Each care package is made up of of a unique mix services to meet your needs.

“My mum has Alzheimer’s, but remains living at home with support from family and Home Instead care,” shares Fiona P. on homecare.co.uk. “A lovely carer comes twice a week for an hour to keep Mum company and check medication has been taken etc. – she plays snakes and ladders and dominoes with Mum, which Mum loves. So far Home Instead has managed to roster the same carer for Mum, which has been invaluable in keeping Mum to a familiar routine.” This kind of consistent, engaging companionship exemplifies our approach to relationship-led care.
