Local home care company, Home Instead Ipswich, Felixstowe & Woodbridge, is delighted to have been named a finalist at the East Anglian Daily Times (EADT) Business Awards 2024, in the category ‘Positive Impact in the Community’.

The business, established in 2009 by Chris and Susanna Lye, specialises in care of the elderly, allowing people to age well in their own homes.

The EADT Business Awards aims to champion the region’s businesses, shining a light on the boldest thinkers, team builders and green pioneers who are ensuring Suffolk businesses grow better together.

The Positive Impact in the Community category recognises businesses who have adapted and innovated for the good of the wider community. Home Instead are being recognised for their activities in the local community.

Their efforts to support those living with dementia formed a significant part of their entry, in particular the three memory cafes they run, as well as their partnership with St. Elizabeth Hospice and Grove Court care home to establish a Compassionate Garden Group, their Dementia Golf Group and Key to Care initiatives in three local surgeries to name but a few of their community initiatives.

In naming the finalists, EADT said, “All of our finalists came from every corner of the Suffolk business world. Their outstanding contribution to the work life here in Suffolk and also their contribution to the wider community has been recognised by our judges and their achievement will be celebrated at the award ceremony in July.”
