Quick Q&A with Kristine: Our Live-In Care Professional Shares Her Favourites

Today, we’re catching up with Kristine, who joined us as a Live-in Care Professional in November 2024. With her warmth, dedication, and compassionate approach, she’s already making a difference in the lives of those she supports.

In this catch-up, we get to know Kristine a little better as she shares some of her favourite things, from food and books to what she loves most about her role. Read on to find out more!

Kristine, we love to show the diversity in our fantastic team and encourage others that they can care too! Please tell us a bit about you…

Favourite food:   Everything healthy! I always cook so I don’t really go for a takeaway. I love to try everything.

Movie or TV show:   I don’t watch tv or movies. I prefer to spend more time reading psychology books and spending time outdoors.

Band or Singer: I am a music lover! I can listen to old school, piano and new styles of dance music.

Holiday Destination: I’ve not travelled a lot around the world, but I do travel a lot around England, and I love it.

Book: Psychology books. My favourite one is the 5 languages of love.

Hobbies:  Sports, gym, you can find me running outside, I am all about anything active!

What is the best part about your role within Home Instead?

I never expected to become a care professional, but it turned out to be one of the best things that ever happened to me! I had heard mixed stories about the care industry, but I wanted to experience it for myself. I told myself I’d give it a chance, and I’m so glad I did because Home Instead is completely different!

I love my role and truly enjoy spending time with my clients. Every day, I meet amazing people with incredible stories. It never feels like work because I genuinely enjoy what I do, and the time just flies by!
