National 'Be a Santa' campaign in full swing in Lewes

Home Instead Lewes District and Uckfield spread joy this Christmas by gathering donations for Ringmer Baptist Church Christmas Lunch

Christmas is a time for family, warmth and togetherness. But for some of our neighbours, it can be a lonely day.

Spreading Joy This Christmas

The annual ‘Be a Santa’ campaign, an initiative to help spread Christmas cheer within the community for those who may be faced with the prospect of spending Christmas day on their own, has already started in Lewes.

This year, the amazing team at Ringmer Baptist Church is making sure that no one will have to spend Christmas alone. They’re hosting a free lunch at Ringmer Village Hall on Christmas day for those who might otherwise be on their own.

Home Instead Lewes District and Uckfield are teaming up with local businesses and organisations to collect gifts for this festive lunch, and it’s not too late to donate! Donations would be appreciated of simple, thoughtful presents that will bring smiles to the faces of those attending.

Getting Involved

If you’d like to get involved, we are still accepting donations of new and unused affordable gifts such as festive biscuits, bath & body treats and gender-neutral gifts.

We have already received generous donations from The Cook Shop, Boon Books, Waterstones, A Gateway to India (The Needlemakers), Cheese Please, Value Home Supplies, Tesco Superstore Lewes, Tesco Superstore Uckfield and Waitrose Uckfield.

We thank you all for your support, and together, we can make a difference in someone’s life this Christmas! To find out more about Home Instead and the services we provide, visit our homepage.
