As part of Dementia Action Week, we will be hosting a free Dementia Information Evening for local families who want to learn more about the early stages of dementia.
If you or a loved one are starting to notice signs of memory loss, you may have many questions and concerns about what this could mean. At Home Instead Lewes District & Uckfield, we understand the uncertainty that can arise when facing a potential dementia diagnosis. That’s why we are hosting a free Dementia Information Evening to provide guidance, support and answers any questions you might have.
On Thursday, 16th May 2024, from 6pm -7.30pm, we invite you to join us at The Dorset (22 Malling Street, BN7 2RD) in Lewes, for an informal evening of information sharing. Over a glass of wine or coffee, we’ll help you understand more about dementia and the steps you can take to help your loved one live well.
Our Director, Alison Scutt, will be leading the discussion – talking about various aspects of dementia. This includes symptoms, what to expect and available treatments/medical help. We’ll also cover practical strategies for supporting a loved one with dementia, ensuring their safety, comfort and overall wellbeing at home.
Additionally, we are delighted to have Lauren Puttock-Brown from Mayo Wynne Baxter solicitors joining us. Lauren will share her expertise on legal aspects related to dementia care, such as powers of attorney and advance care planning.
This event is designed to be an open and welcoming space for you to ask questions, share your experiences and gain valuable insights from Alison and Lauren. We understand the challenges that come with caring for a loved one with dementia and we want to provide you with the knowledge and resources to navigate this journey with confidence.
Space is limited, so we encourage you to reserve your spot by calling our Home Instead office at 01273 437040 or emailing [email protected]. Alternatively, you can book directly through our Eventbrite page HERE.
