Whether a family lives close to Maidstone or further away, they can rest assured knowing we’re popping in regularly to help with everything from preparing healthy meals to helping take the bins out and changing the bed sheets. Our Care Professionals are also trained to notice the little things – perhaps the fruit bowl needs refreshing, the heating needs adjusting, or there’s post that needs attention. These one-hour-minimum visits give families peace of mind that someone reliable is keeping a caring eye on their loved one’s overall well-being, not just ticking off tasks.
We offer two types of home care: hourly care, where we visit at set times, or live-in care, where a carer resides in the home. One daughter recently shared: “The carers who were provided by Home Instead were always efficient, kind, reliable and helpful to my 93-year-old mother. They visited her in her home and gave her assistance with cooking a meal, basic housework and preparing for bed.” It’s this combination of practical support and genuine care that makes a real difference to families’ peace of mind.

Our Care Professionals come from fascinating and varied backgrounds – former teachers, business owners, and creative professionals who’ve chosen care as their next chapter. Many have been with us for years, bringing a lifetime of experience to their roles. Here at Maidstone, we’re incredibly selective about who joins our team, looking for naturally compassionate people who want to make a genuine difference. This approach, combined with our comprehensive City & Guilds training, ensures we can match clients with someone who not only provides excellent support but also becomes a trusted, engaging presence in their home.
Being part of the Maidstone community means we understand local needs. We work closely with the Kenward Trust and other local organisations to help our clients stay connected to community life.
